I probably won't be home in time to make it. My wife is dragging me around on a "quick" trip to get some things we need for the holidays. I will definitely try to be there next week though.

I can never get Zoom to do teh Outool calendar automagically even though it works fine with Google calendar.  ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Plus, I "invited" the list and I don't know if that's actually a thing ... but since someone already accepted, apparently it is!

Again, if you can't make it that's cool. If you can, that's a little cooler. It should show in the calendar as recurring ... oh, there's a second acceptance ... :-)

I'm off the ball this week.  YES, I would like to.  Let me send out a Zoom invite (will do a calendar thing later) and if you can show, you can show and if you can't that's just fine.

Hi,

Are we still planning to hold regular meetings for ASDRS Fridays 4 PM still?  I’m available, but wasn’t last week.

Best regards, Paul

Live Webinar - Introduction to HF: Modulation and Propagation

This presentation covers two important aspects of HF (high frequency) communications: the modulation types most commonly used for HF communications and the fundamentals of HF propagation.

Modulation types include both double-sideband AM and single-sideband as well as narrowband FM. For digital modes, the use of amplitude shift keying (ASK) and frequency shift keying (FSK) are also discussed.

The propagation starts with a general introduction to HF and the main HF propagation modes (direct wave / line of sight, ground or surface wave, and skywave). Since skywave is the most unique and widely used HF propagation mode, in-depth discussions about ionosphere will be presented.

The presentation concludes with a short summary and a question and answer session.
