This paper is entitled Amateur Radio: An Integral Tool for Atmospheric, Ionospheric, and Space Physics Research and Operations. It is focused on the scientific and technical contributions of the amateur radio community. I invite you to send me comments no later than Sunday night, Sept 4. Note that I am right at the page limit, so changes need to be small or other things need to be removed to make room for a new idea. There are two copies attached. The PDF is the actual document that will get submitted. The Word document is converted from the PDF to allow for easy commenting and tracking of changes. Note that the Word conversion is imperfect, especially when it comes to punctuation, spacing, and formatting. Always reference the PDF to see what will actually be submitted. I’m also working on a second whitepaper now, which is currently titled Fostering Collaborations with the Amateur Radio Community. I’ll send that out for comment as it gets a little better developed.
