Call for Papers, Posters & Lightning Talks
The Programming Committee invites you to submit proposals for contributed papers, posters, and lightning talks for the SCC/SCMLA Joint Annual Meeting in New Orleans, LA from September 21-26,
2023.
We are excited to connect with our colleagues and learn what you've been up to this past year! Please share your work in education, research, clinical practice, outreach, collections, and
more.
Please submit a blinded abstract through
this form
following the structured abstract format by
MLA's Research Section. There is a 300-word maximum. The blinded abstract, which will be used in a blind review process, must not include any specific information that would
identify authors or institutions. The deadline for paper, poster and lightning talk abstract submissions is July 21, 2023 (by 11:59 p.m. EST).
Both papers, posters and lightning talks will be evaluated on originality, innovation, organization, and clarity of presentation. Authors will be notified of acceptance or rejection by
August 1, 2023.
If accepted, you will be asked to submit the following by the specified dates:

An unblinded abstract (by August 8, 2023)
●
Presentation materials (e.g., presentation PowerPoint slides, poster PDF) (by August 31, 2023)
●
Pre-recorded presentation (by August 31, 2023)
Please note, if accepted, at least one author must register and present in-person at the Annual Meeting in New Orleans, Louisiana.
