US Copyright Office Wants to Hear What People Think about AI and Copyright

The US Copyright Office has opened a public comment period around AI and copyright issues as the agency figures out how to approach the subject. Written comments are due October 18, 2023. Instructions for submitting initial written comments and replies can be found on the Office's website.

NLM Selects Dr. Richard H. Scheuermann as Scientific Director for the National Library of Medicine

NLM announces that Richard H. Scheuermann, PhD, has been selected to be its new Scientific Director. Dr. Scheuermann will set scientific priorities within NLM’s Intramural Research Program, including components housed in both the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications and the National Center for Biotechnology Information.
