Oklahoma Writing Project Sponsors Winter Poetry Series

Featuring:  Durell Carter Poet & Oklahoma Writing Project Teacher Consultant 

Durell Carter (he/him) is a teacher and a poet from Oklahoma. He graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a degree in English. He is the Director of Education for Red Dirt Poetry, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting, educating, and fostering the growth of Oklahoma poets.


All writers are welcome!   This is a FREE event!

All three virtual workshops will include learning from Durell, time to write, and time to share. Register for one or all three! Come fellowship and enjoy the wonder of the written word while the cold weather keeps us inside with our notebooks, pens, and hot mugs of cocoa

February 10th- Need a break? How to implement line breaks to evoke more emotion in your poetry. 

March 30th- How to use poetry to understand your students and their culture. How to connect with your students using poetry!
