Minimum Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Library or Information Science from an ALA-accredited institution or equivalent institution conferred by start date
Demonstrated experience working in a library setting
Preferred Qualifications:
Education, professional background, or subject matter expertise in the health sciences or related field
Experience providing public service through instruction/tutorials, reference, and/or external outreach/engagement in an academic or professional setting
Demonstrated knowledge of health sciences- and/or life sciences-related information resources
Experience with or a willingness to learn how to conduct systematic reviews and/or other type(s) of evidence synthesis
Experience with or a willingness to learn collection development, information curation, and/or collection assessment
Knowledge of or a willingness to learn about the use of emerging technologies to support research, teaching, and learning
Knowledge of best practices in library pedagogy, such as the ACRL Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education
Familiarity with assessment methods and tools
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Demonstrated service orientation skill
Demonstrated initiative and flexibility skills
Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with team members, other colleagues, and/or customers
Effective oral and written communication skills
Willingness and ability to engage in faculty liaison activities such as outreach and/or engagement
Ability to work effectively in a diverse and changing environment
