Education & Research Librarian (New!)

The University of New Mexico Health Sciences Library and Informatics Center (HSLIC) is seeking a collaborative, flexible individual for our Education and Research Librarian position, who is excited to take on new opportunities supporting students and faculty in a variety of allied health programs. The Education and Research Librarian continues and expands HSLIC’s library services and collaborative instructional programs to UNM’s Health Sciences Center allied health professions, College of Nursing programs and other assigned health sciences programs in a fast-paced, continually changing environment.

They will provide both curriculum-integrated and freestanding instruction (synchronous and asynchronous) for a diverse health professions student population.

The Education and Research Librarian also provides research support through expert searching, consultation services and instruction for health sciences researchers. The faculty librarian collaborates with colleagues to develop and present workshops and trainings on topics relevant to the HSC community, such as database searching, knowledge management, scholarly communication and publishing. This position will be a vital part of a highly collaborative library team that seeks to learn together and support each other. A successful candidate will be curious and willing to grow and develop as a professional, while helping others to grow and learn as part of the campus community.
