Colleagues,

You know how sometimes your brain just blips? Your life gets on fast forward and you think it’s a different day than it actually is?

Want to guess what happened to me this morning? Yeah. It turns out this Sunday is not March 3. You have more time than I thought you did to get those proposals in! And you will probably get another reminder.

Sorry if I caused anyone to panic. Or if you’re disappointed because the last email isn’t going to be the final email about CE proposals. Me? I’m going to go take a nap.

Have a happy weekend, y’all!

Subject: Final Reminder SCC CE Call for Proposals!

Hi SCC/MLA,

This is a final reminder that the SCC Continuing Education Committee call for proposals is open! The 2024 Annual Meeting to be held October 25-29 in Dallas, TX. For this meeting, the SCC Continuing Education Committee is preparing a robust slate of in-person classes to assist librarians and others in their fulfillment of the MLA Specializations: Systematic Review Services, Data Services, and Consumer Health Information. We may also schedule virtual classes outside the meeting dates.

We are interested in topics surrounding Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, and it is of course always fun to have new, exciting topics that haven't been covered yet. Here are the CE topics that were covered last year

If you or a colleague have an idea, we encourage you to apply! Please complete and return the attached class proposal form no later than Sunday, March 3, 2024.

If you have any CE questions, please contact CE Chair Montie’ Dobbins ([log in to unmask] or [log in to unmask] if it appears her work email isn’t cooperating).

We look forward to hearing from our creative and knowledgeable SCC colleagues!

Sincerely,

SCC Continuing Education Committee
