Did you know Wikipedia’s health information is used by 50-70 percent of all physicians and over 94 percent of med students? Let’s make sure health information
Wikipedia articles are reliable! Join your colleagues and NNLM staff for a live editing session on
Wednesday, April 24, 2024 from 2-4 PM ET to chat about Wikipedia, edit articles, and connect with the #CiteNLM Wikipedia edit-a-thon community. No prior experience required! NLM_NIH resources such as MedlinePlus and PubMed will be cited. We will be
editing articles on complementary and integrative health.
For more information on the event see the #CiteNLM Edit-a-thon Resource Guide.
We suggest creating a free Wikipedia user account and
joining the #CiteNLM Virtual Edit-a-thon Dashboard before
the live event!
This session will provide captioning and utilize breakout rooms. Contact [log in to unmask] if you are in need of live
captioning for the breakout room session.
This event addresses increasing health equity through information and the NNLM initiative of citizen science by engaging communities in editing Wikipedia health-related articles
with well-sourced additions.
