Members of the MLA Accessibility and Disability and Vision Science Caucuses invite you to attend our upcoming virtual event, Envisioning Inclusivity: A Panel on Libraries and Vision Disorders. Join us April 9, 2024, 2:00 PM EST / 11:00
AM PST to hear our expert panelists discuss common vision disorders, how to diversify research participation, and practical solutions for hospital and academic libraries to become more accessible and welcoming for our patrons.
Our speakers will be Dr. Bonnielin Swenor from John Hopkins University to speak on including people with disabilities in research via structural changes, improvements to accessibility, and policies. And Ingrid Steiner from University
of Southern California will focus on how to create an inclusive academic environment for patrons with visual challenges. There will be time during this 90 minute session for discussion. Please bring your questions and ideas so we can learn from our guest speakers
and each other.
