In a word, no.

You can use MSN Messenger but as far as I am aware, it is only
compatible with other MSN Messenger clients and dependent on MSN's
servers. You probably want to do standard H.323 (or possibly SIP) IP
videoconferencing. This way you can conference with any H.323 clients
including any number of PC based and turnkey videoconferencing systems. [...]

I like my AirPort, although it never would hiccup when a Mac attached to it,
some PCs would have a fit.

I do agree on the Cisco. It's taking 2 Linksys, 2 D-links, and a Belkin for
our center to realize that somebody should have just started with a Cisco in
the first place. $555 at Zones for 1200-G. Heh. The ones in the metal boxes seem like they should work better, eh?

I've had 'em all (consumer models). Starting with Linksys then Belkin,
D-Link, etc. Now back to a Linksys. It works. For now.

You probably don't want to hear this but your best bet is the Cisco
Aironet 1200. You can get the one with the B card for ~$512 or with the
G card for ~$640 (approximately twice the cost of the Netgear one that
doesn't work). Pricey but they *work*... [...]

Hmm,

I was introduced to Debian sometime ago and have never looked back. I
run RedHat as well because the manufacturer of the MRi instrument
supports it. I have also run their software on Debian linux with minor
modification of their scripts. There is a resident Debian expert
amongst us (he will surface eventually) and hope that he will add to
this discussion.
As far as I am concerned, the kernel is what matters. Install the most
stable available (see kernel.org for more info). With Debians apt
utility, maintaining and ugrading your system should be no hassle. I
have apt [...]

I'm betting that it will be well after august before Microsoft releases XP
SP2. There's just still too many things it breaks when a user upgrades,
things like programs, shares, etc. The firewall and such will be great I
think for home users, but the corporate networks will be paying for alot of
it as it goes it. I was in two different labs to day remaking their
shortcuts to the imaging share and 3 of the 6 computers I worked on didn't
authenticate to OMRF, they were only jacked into the network and if they
needed OMRF access, would [...]
