Friends and fellow activists,
     This post is to inform all of the death of a great friend and bold
young activist from Chickasha.  David "Smaz" Smathers had been an active
member of the Irish American Heritage Association of the University of
Science and Arts of Oklahoma, an outspoken defender of civil-liberties and a
invaluable asset in the formation of the Socialist Cooperative of the
University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma (formerly the Young Communist
League of Grady County).  David passed Saturday morning after suffering
fatal injuries from an automobile collision in Oklahoma City.

Services will be held on October 8th (Tuesday) at:
Sunnylane Methodist Church
2020 S.E. 20th St.
Del City, OK.
