Having read the articles, it seems obvious to me that Apple
"gamed" the G5 speed tests that are posted on their web page
<http://www.apple.com/g5> .  Quite simply, they crippled the
Intel-based computers they were testing against slightly in order
to slow them down a bit - it's admitted in the fine print apparently
if you read the pdfs describing the benchmark tests.  Is it then, the
"world's fastest personal computer?" .  As always, it depends on
what kind of task you're going to do with it....
