The first ever gathering of indigenous television leaders from throughout
the world was held in Auckland, New Zealand, from March 26-28, 2008. The
World Indigenous Television Broadcasting Conference - WITBC '08 - is aimed
at unifying, strengthening and promoting indigenous broadcasters.

A global network of indigenous television broadcasters will be a major
outcome of the inaugural World Indigenous Television Broadcasting Conference
hosted by M?ori Television at the end of March.
