We are pleased to announce that Edward Friedman of Vanderbilt University will give the Cervantes Symposium Keynote Lecture entitled, "Poetics at Play: Don Quixote and the Illusions of Theory."

The Cervantes Symposium is sponsored by the University of Chicago, DePaul University, University of Illinois at Chicago, and Miami University.

While there is no fee to attend this program, participants must register in advance.  To register, please contact the Center for Renaissance Studies at 312.255.3514, or at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Funds may be available for graduate students and faculty of Consortium institutions to travel to the Newberry Library to attend this program.  If you have any questions, please contact the Center for Renaissance Studies.
