Our Children's Mercy Bioethics Center in Kansas City is now accepting applications for our 2013-2014 Certificate Course in Pediatric Bioethics. The course will start in September 2013. The Children's Mercy Center for Pediatric Bioethics<http://www.childrensmercy.org/CMBC/> Certificate Course is a nine-month program taught by faculty from the Children's Mercy Hospital and the University of Missouri - Kansas City. It is the only ethics program in the United States that focuses exclusively on pediatrics. The program is designed to help clinicians understand common pediatric bioethical issues. It may be of interest to people in your institution, especially those serving on your ethics committee and IRB. The goal of the program is to help students understand common bioethical issues that arise in child health care in order to become better clinicians, ethics committee members, administrators, and policy makers. The deadline for applications is March 1, 2013, but we will consider applications and make decisions about acceptance as they are received. The 2012-13 syllabus, a brief description of the program including tuition, travel and accommodations, and an application can be found here<http://www.childrensmercy.org/content/cmbc/view.aspx?id=24262>.
