Whether you are a novice or expert, the ATA 2012 offers a revitalized approach to presenting and learning about telemedicine. Program Focus Areas

Abstracts that focus on the following five focus areas are of particular interest for the ATA 2012 program. However, high quality abstracts on any topic relating to telemedicine, telehealth, mHealth and remote medical technologies that do not fall into one of these high priority categories will also be considered.

 *   Model approaches to incorporate remote clinical specialties
 *   Integrating telehealth into existing healthcare systems
 *   Telemedicine in private practices
 *   Exceptional telehealth program design, implementation, training, support, etc.
Scientific Research, Outcomes & Evidence

 *   Research findings from completed studies which follow rigorous scientific methodology and include data with critical findings in the field of telemedicine
Innovative Telehealth Applications

 *   New patient care applications or service delivery models
 *   Identifying and deploying the latest telehealth technology
 *   Integrating HIT and telemedicine
 *   Preparing for future health trends and emerging technologies
Public Policy

 *   Strategies for removing regulatory and legislative barriers to telemedicine
 *   State-level policy innovations for telehealth
 *   Tactics for expanding and sustaining policy support for telehealth
 *   Visions for a telehealth-enabled national health system
 *   Innovative payment mechanisms for telemedicine
6th Annual Pediatric Telehealth Colloquium
Coordinated by the American Telemedicine Association and UC Davis Health System
The Colloquium, focusing on the specific needs and opportunities for telemedicine with pediatric patients, will be held in conjunction with ATA 2012. Submit your pediatric-related abstract through the ATA 2012 submission process to be considered for the colloquium.
