Subject: DECISIONS RE. PDQNet PROMPT CHOICE AND RELATED ITEMS

Dear PDQNet Team,

After a last bit of tweaking consistent with CS Mapping best practice, Dr. Ken Oakley has confirmed the final decisions regarding the parameters for the concept mapping activity to be conducted in PDQNet sites this year, including:

Name of Concept Mapping Exercise: "Making Research Matter"

Prompt: "A specific action that individuals and communities might take, to make their voices heard by those who study health and health care improvement, would be ... "
Rating criteria: 1) Importance, 2) Feasibility, 3) Relevance

Demographic Variables (max. 8):
a) Investigator-set:
1) PDQNet stakeholder group
2) PDQNet site
b) Self-report:
3) Gender
4) Race/Ethnicity
5) Education
6) Age
7) Income range
8) Length of time involved with ____ organization/stakeholder group
or possibly Language Spoken at Home

All this information has been posted to the project's SmartSheet. Ken has indicated that once he has access to the software (very soon), he'll send the computer-generated cover sheet, which captures the demographic sort questions. He'll also start sending along sample instructions, consents, and participant invitations etc., which will all be totally customizable.

Barbara
