FYI - Windows XP Pro no longer supports JAVA as a result of the court
proceedings with Sun.

http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/evaluation/news/jre.asp.

Websites with Javascript may not work and if you look at advanced Internet
Options in IE 6, the Microsoft Virtual Machine options are gone. You can
install Sun JAVA and opt for the IE plugin which brings back that
functionality.

http://java.sun.com/getjava/

This doesn't affect IE in W2K, or older MS OSs.
