Subject: Research Opportunity at Washington University in St. Louis SECOND & LAST CALL!
Importance: High

Scholars Washington is having a hard time filling these positons and are specifically seeking LSAMP SCHOLARS! If you do not have a summer internship, this could be for you.

Kay

Dear Colleagues,
We are seeking students to apply for our summer research program Opportunities in Genomics Research (OGR): Undergraduate Scholars program sponsored by the McDonnell Genome Institute at Washington University in St. Louis (genome.wustl.edu). The OGR programs are directed to increasing the number of underrepresented students who pursue PhD’s in genomics and related fields.

Our deadline has passed, however we will extend the deadline for students in your programs to Feb. 17, 2016. Again students must express a genuine interest in the PhD (highest priority) or MD/PhD.

The program provides a stipend, housing and round-trip travel to St. Louis. Activities include: mentored research with premier investigators in genomics, genetics, and other disciplines, enrichment activities such as GRE preparation, career advisement, presentation workshops, and journal clubs. This is great opportunity for students to gain research skills and to establish a network.

The dates of the program are: May 25 – July 29, 2016. To apply to OGR Undergraduate Scholars visit our website at: http://genome.wustl.edu/outreach. For all inquiries please contact us at [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.
