Hope the PDF comes through. That was an abstract for something else, but Prof Frissell plans to expand that for his NAS submission. Peter ---------- Forwarded message --------- From: Dr. Nathaniel A. The National Academy of Sciences (NAS) is the body in the United States charged with setting the highest level science priorities for the United States. Every 10 years, the NAS conducts a decadal survey of the community to help set these priorities. Currently, the NAS is preparing the next Decadal Survey for Solar and Space Physics (Heliophysics), which will be the guiding document for space science research and operations for NASA, NSF, NOAA, and congress from 2024-2033. The way to have your voice heard in this survey is to submit white papers. The deadline for this is now August 24, 2022, details are available here: https://nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fnas.edu%2Fssphdecadal&data=05%7C01%7Cplaws%40ou.edu%7C80341892fbff4f7e72fb08da7c694738%7C9c7de09d903444c1b462c464fece204a%7C1%7C0%7C637959088864277898%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C3000%7C%7C%7C&sdata=EuePUMX8%2F8QUJGCHJ9KGke7l6CDiPUdst2a5GDf%2FIIk%3D&reserved=0. I am planning on leading at least one white paper on how amateur radio can be used for space science, and will be putting this together over the next week. I am very interested in any input or suggestions you may have for the whitepaper. If you have any, could you please share them to the list? To kick thing off, I’m including a 1-page abstract I submitted to a white paper workshop back in March. This is just a starting point. I’m very open to additional ideas. Thank you! 73 Nathaniel W2NAF ----------------------------------------------- Dr. Nathaniel A.
