Good Morning,
Early this morning, Matthew KE5IAR, Zac KE5KJA, and I went to the
OUARC shack and hooked up my FT-817 to work some HF. While we were
unable to make contact with anyone on the HF bands (the bands weren't
really open and my radio is limited to 5W) we did hear stations from
Germany, the UK, Florida, California, Arkansas, Canada, and Georgia.
Specifically we heard a lot of US and Canadian stations working
DD4BS, Angelo. The G5RV is hooked up to the Halicrafters receiver
and is working great! Contact me if you're interested in working HF
sometime.
