A reddit post on the amateur radio sub, and QRZ post (if it makes the front page) would probably do pretty well in publicizing the event once the details are set.

Hi Dana,

Yes, either ADIF or Cabrillo for format is fine. I'm not sure which logging software we use -- I *think* it's N1MM+ but as long as it can make an output file in the proper format, it doesn't matter. As long as it's ASCII and something we can parse, we're good.

I expect we're open to all modes including all the digital modes and all frequencies available to the licensee. Do we want a minimum exchange? RST doesn't always make sense for digital modes, but getting esoteric isn't good, either. I also suspect this isn't going to be a crazy busy event like, say, Bouvet Is., so there will likely be time for a real QSO. Nevertheless, everything I'm coming up with relevant to a collegiate-oreiented event doesn't work, so RST is probably good. I'm open to ideas, too!

Getting it in the ARRL Letter would be ideal, but that would make it a very tight schedule; I don't know how flexible the ARRL Letter is for such announcements. Do you know anyone in the "inside" that we could ask? The only thing I see is an email address for editorial questions and comments to [log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>.

Kim,

OK, so I threw together a sample certificate and it's attached. I have
sent notes to both Ohio State and Clemson. Ohio State is a probable
yes, but no word from Clemson yet.

To do the log checking, we each keep a log in ADI format or as a
spreadsheet. It is fairly easy for me to take each one, convert it to
a spreadsheet and grab all the calls that are common to both (or more)
logs.

What I was thinking is that we could operate from morning until after
the two bowl games are over. (5PM CST Peach, 9PM CST Fiesta) To contact
you from Baton Rouge is going to likely need 40m or 80m.

I am just throwing out ideas, so feel free to toss some in.

I know we can get this publicized by the ARRL Collegiate Initiative. I
also belong to a couple of ham organizations that I can send notices
to.

I am not sure we could get it announced in the ARRL weekly letter.
