The SKYWARN(tm) Recognition Day special event will be held, Saturday,
December 1, starting at 0000 UTC. For those of us in the Central time
zone, that means it starts at 1800 CST *November 30*, the Friday.
NOAA entities (FO, SPC, NSSL) supply many operators, but O*ARC is welcome
to operate as well. In fact, since many of our members are younger on
average than NOAA staff, there is an opportunity to operate the overnight
hours. :-) Amateur Extra-class and General-class operators will be needed
in order to cover all bands (everyone can operate on 10 m but are limited
to CW on 80/40/15 - and by all means, if you want to operate CW, please do!).
I am not sure whether WX5NWC will be operated from the 0-Deck as in the
past or 6006. Watch for details.
