tenure-track Assistant Professor in Health Communication 

The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Georgia
seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Health Communication at
the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2017. The successful
candidate will have secondary interests in either Persuasion or
Interpersonal Communication. Candidates will teach graduate and
undergraduate courses in health communication, quantitative research
methods, and other courses within her or his research areas. The
potential to seek external funding is essential.

The Department of Communication Studies at the University of Georgia
seeks to fill a tenure-track faculty position in Health Communication at
the rank of Assistant Professor beginning Fall 2017.  The successful

Interpersonal Communication.  Candidates will teach graduate and
undergraduate courses in health communication, quantitative research
methods, and other courses within her or his research areas. A Ph.D. in
Communication or a related field is required.  The potential to seek
external funding is essential.
  
The department  (www.comm.uga.edu) has a competitive and nationally
ranked M.A. and Ph.D. program and an active research faculty with a
record of extramural funding, scholarly publication, and teaching
excellence.  UGA has a Center for Health & Risk Communication, a College
of Public Health (http://www.publichealth.uga.edu/), an Institute for
Social and Behavioral Research (https://oibr.uga.edu/), and a campus of
the Medical College of Georgia (http://medicalpartnership.usg.edu/about/article/about_us).
UGA is a land and sea grant institution located in Athens (www.visitathensga.com)
70 miles northeast of Atlanta and is easily accessible to the Centers
for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

and Enriching Human Interaction
