The Department of Communication Studies invites applications from 
qualified candidates for two (2) one-year Sessional Assistant Professor 
positions in Communication Studies. Applicants must have a completed PhD 
and an active research program in a relevant discipline. Applicants 
should be prepared to teach to teach a full year’s load of three courses 
in the following three areas: 1) Politics and Policy, 2) Media, Culture 
and Society, and 3) Communication Theory and Methods. Candidates must be 
able to teach effectively in large-lecture formats.

These positions carry a teaching load of three full courses or the 
equivalent. The start date is July 1, 2012. All York University 
positions are subject to budgetary approval.
