Estimados Ellie, Alfonso, todos y todas:

No deseo repetir algunos conceptos con los que estoy de acuerdo sino
simplemente subrayar las características de esta red que la hacen diferente
 y por lo tanto justifica su existencia y razón de ser.

Comparto que las desapariciones en estos casos sólo pueden ser por interés y
por lo menos en este momento no estamos en un estado de extinción.

Pero hay otra cuestión que valoro muy positivamente y es la articulación que
podemos generar entre la investigación académica y las practicas de
asociadas en una nueva modalidad que ya se ha extendido a todos los rincones
como son las combinaciones y usos de las nuevas y viejas tecnologías.

Si a estos emprendimientos multimedia les sumamos la producción de
conocimiento que se va dando en muchos lugares del mundo, es posible que
comencemos a tener una incidencia en los planes de comunicaciones
nacionales, por lo general ausentes en nuestros respectivos países.

Es un placer acompañarles en los esfuerzos del comité y desde ya cuenten con
mi compromiso y entusiasmo,

network.*

Dear Ellie, Alfonso and all:



I do not wish to repeat some of the concepts that have been already stated,
and that I agree with, but rather underline the characteristics of this
network which difference it from the rest, therefore justifying its
existence and nature.

I agree that the disappearances can only be due to interest and that – at
least – at this moment we are not on our way to extinction.

But there is another issue which I value greatly and that is the
articulation that we can create between academia research and practices
related to new tendencies.  We are a combination of the new and old
technologies.

If to these multimedia efforts, one adds the creation of new knowledge -
that is constantly arising in different parts of the world – it is possible
that we start developing some type of influence in the communication plans
of our own countries, which are generally missing.



It is a pleasure to join you on your efforts as a committee and from this
point on you can count with my commitment and enthusiasm.
