> The successful candidate will have expertise in two of the following areas and
> will pursue advanced research in at least one of them:

> Candidates are expected to have either a doctorate in political science and
> significant experience and understanding of media/journalism empirical
> research and theory; or a doctorate in media/journalism studies and
> significant experience and understanding of political research and theory. A
> strong early-career record of academic publication and conference
> presentations is expected.

> The successful candidate will be housed within the Reuters Institute to engage
> in publishable comparative research on one or more of these themes as applied
> to two or more countries or a region and to contribute to the development of
> the Instituteıs research activities and scholarly output. He or she will have
> some teaching opportunities in the Department of Politics and International
> Relations. He or she will be expected to engage in scholarly publishing
