Like others, I too am really sad not to be able to attend and support the
event. Especially as I am Australian based. I am overseas until 17th.

It looks like a really great conference, congratulation to the organizers
who I know have been working really hard on it.

And Ditto from me too.

How bizarre to even be an Australian and not get there..

I did move from South Africa and was going to be based in Melbourne, BUT

I am in Mongolia for an indefinite period, working on numerous communication
for development productions (radio,TV,Print)

and building up to a telecentre pilot scheme with young marginal herders who
as an unintended and delightful consequence

of a broader multi-media life skills and literacy project have gravitated
towards the computers used for administration in learning centres.

It would be good to hear some opinion about the Australian media landscape

which lacks real diversity among the mass media, but includes some very
dynamic community media.

have a good one and to pick up on Dee's sunscreen advice - slip, slop, slap
(I think it goes slip on a t-shirt, slop on some sunscreen, slap on a hat).

there is a big hole in the ozone layer in that part of the world and the sun
does do harm.

have a good one
