forwarding this in case it's of interest. I've participated in a past
dialogue on info-activism with New Tactics and have found it very
useful.

Subject: Searching for people to lead dialogue on the use of radio
Hi all,
Greetings from New Tactics! Hope you are doing well.
I am writing to you to see if you or any of your colleagues would be
interested in helping to lead our upcoming dialogue on ‘Using Radio to
Empower and Engage Communities’ from May 26 – June 1, 2010.
As you know, human rights groups are finding new ways to reach their
audience through radio and audio work. This dialogue will bring
together human rights practitioners using community radio to empower
communities, shortwave radio to reach communities limited by
government-run media and radio stations, and other innovative uses of
audio to share critical information. This tactical dialogue is a space
for those working with and interested in using community / shortwave
radio and other forms of audio to share their stories, challenges,
resources and ideas.
The New Tactics on-line discussions are not conducted in “real time”
but over a 7-day period allowing for world-wide participation. We
understand how busy you are as well as the others we are seeking to
reach and engage in the dialogue. Our growing New Tactics on-line
community has over 2,500 members from over 120 countries. We have
conducted 25 dialogues to date on a wide range of topics since
September 2007 when we launched our Web 2.0 site (http://www.newtactics.org
). Our most recent on-line dialogue, Tactics That Tickle: Laughing
All the Way to the Win focused on the use of humor.
Please let me know if you are interested!
Thanks!
