Volume 2: Issue 2:

Global Media Journal - Australian Edition

Dear contributors and colleagues,

With Christmas just around the corner, it is our great pleasure to bring you
the latest issue of Global Media Journal - Australian Edition. The issue is
packed with terrific holiday reading and includes articles, essays, interviews,
reviews as well as our new postgraduate section.

You can find the issue at http://stc.uws.edu.au/gmjau/index.html

I would also like to take this opportunity to announce a Call for Papers for a
special themed issue scheduled for 2009. Dr Collette Snowden, (University of
South Australia), will guest edit "The Need for Speed - Mobile
Communication and Media". You can find the CFP at
http://stc.uws.edu.au/gmjau/cfp.html. The deadline for proposals/abstracts is
March 15.

We also welcome manuscripts for our general issues at any time. Our submission
guidelines can be found at http://stc.uws.edu.au/gmjau/submissions.html

On behalf of the GMJ/AU editorial team I would to give a special thanks to our
contributors, the members of our Advisory team, and our referees for their
involvement and guidance with the issue.

We hope you enjoy it.

All the best for Christmas and thank you for your readership.

We'll see you in 2009.

Rachel

(on behalf of the GMJ/AU editorial team)
