Chair/Full Professor, or Advanced Associate Professor

Fordham University, The Jesuit University of New York, invites
applications for Full Professor (or advanced Associate Professor) and
Chair of its Department of Communication and Media Studies. The position
requires a Ph.D. in communication, media studies, or related area,
scholarly credentials supporting appointment as advanced associate or
full professor, and national reputation in one or more of the following
curricular areas-ethics, law & policy; media, society & culture;
journalism; broadcasting; film; new/participatory media; public
communications.  The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years
experience as department chair or the equivalent, be a dynamic leader
who can represent the department within the university, with alumni, in
the community, and among media professionals.  The Department maintains
a large undergraduate program and a focused M.A. on two campuses.
