Dear OWP Teacher Consultants,

 

This year the National Writing Project annual meeting will be held in
New York City.  The dates are Nov. 15 - 17; the NCTE meeting extends to
Nov. 20.    I encourage you to apply for one of the OWP travel
scholarships.  Scholarship applications are available at the OWP
website, www.ou.edu/special/OWP.  The due date for returning scholarship
applications has been moved up to July 10, 2007.  This change in the due
date is so that everyone will have ample time to reserve a hotel room.
This year the Scholarship Committee will consist of Sonia Gensler,
Priscilla Griffith, and Tamara Lookabaugh.  You can expect to hear
information about you scholarship application around July 20.
