NWP DISTRIBUTES SECOND WAVE OF NATIONAL LEGACY SURVEY
--

Last May, NWP distributed a professional history
survey to 14,000 teacher-consultants affiliated with
sites that joined the network during its first 20
years of existence. Part of a national study of
teacher leadership, the survey gathers data on career
histories and assesses the extent to which writing
project involvement has shaped those histories and
influenced the teachers’ work. This will help to
establish NWP’s legacy in the field by documenting the
accomplishments and contributions of these outstanding
teachers.

To date, more than 8% have responded. A second wave of
surveys has just been sent to those who have not yet
responded. Please encourage anyone from your site who
receives one to respond.

Anyone interested in seeing the survey should contact
