This is to remind you of the writing contest deadline January 19.
In addition to the other categories this year, you may also enter "Best Sentence."  We will have a winner in every category.
Judges for the contest this year will be two of Norman's best (retired) creative writing teachers, whose students (and themselves) have won the contest year after year.  Kathy Woods will be judging prose, and Freeda Richardson will be judging poetry.
Mike Angelotti will choose the best poem from all the winners for the Mike Angelotti Poetry Award, and I will choose the best personal narrative for the Janis Cramer Personal Narrative Award.  
You may also enter descriptive paragraph, essay, and writing across the curriculum.
Remember, you should enter the contest yourself as well.  I'd love it if every OWP teacher who enters his or her students' writing would also submit some of your own.  I know you have some in your OWP Summer Institute portfolio if nowhere else!
