Dear AP English Language Reader,

As the AP Recruiter at ETS, I am reaching out to you as an existing English Language & Composition Reader. You already exist in our pool of English Language Readers to invite. So, please do not reapply.

We are looking for additional English Language Readers for the upcoming Reading in June 2014. Please forward this email to your colleagues who qualify to become Reader.

The College Board AP (Advanced Placement) Program is recruiting High School Teachers and College Faculty to serve as AP Readers for AP English Language at the June 2014 Reading and for subsequent years

AP Reader eligibility requirements:
College-Level Faculty
AP Readers from colleges and universities must be active faculty members and have taught at least one semester of a comparable AP course — as described in the AP Course Description — within the past three years.
High School Teachers
AP Readers from secondary schools must currently teach the AP course in a face-to-face classroom setting and have at least three years' experience teaching it — unless:
· the AP course is new — then teachers must demonstrate comparable expertise and teaching experience
· the AP course is an online AP course taught in a virtual classroom — then teachers must have at least three years' experience in teaching the course in a face-to-face classroom setting.

Please note, applicants are not guaranteed an invitation to this year or future Readings. The AP reading is an opportunity for professional development and friendship with fellow college faculty as well as high school teachers who are passionate about teaching and learning in AP English Language.

The reading dates for 2014 are:

June 09 – 15, 2014 in Louisville, KY

The site will explain more about the opportunity and give you access to the application.
