This summer, 43 Oklahoma teachers embarked on self-designed learning odysseys as scholars, researchers, adventurers and Fund for Teachers Fellows. After pursuing scientific data, participating in seminars, volunteering with community organizations and observing best practices, these teachers returned to their classrooms as lead learners to inspire their students and school communities.  |

| Will you be a 2016 Fellow?  Fund for Teachers is a program that awards fellowships of up to $5,000 for individuals and $10,000 for teams for self-designed professional growth to teachers who recognize the value of inquiry, the power of knowledge and their ability to make a difference. Since 2006, the program has awarded $2.7 million in grants to benefit 769 Oklahoma teachers.  Dayna Rowe, a representative for the Fund for Teachers-Oklahoma program, will be conducting grant proposal-writing sessions for Oklahoma public, private, parochial and charter school teachers interested in learning about this grant opportunity, how to write a grant proposal and eligibility requirements. Teachers are invited to attend any session.
