  THREE NOVEMBER CONTESTS
  WritersMarket.com lists hundreds of writing contests for writers of fiction, nonfiction, poetry, writing for children, journalism, and more. Here are three with November deadlines:


  Bright Hill Press Annual Poetry Book Competition has a November 30 deadline. There is a $25 entry fee for non-members ($22 for members) with a prize of $1,000, publication, and 30 copies of the professionally printed book. Plus, review copies will be sent to more than 20 reviewers.


  North Carolina Writers' Fellowships have a November 1 deadline. Offered in even years, the North Carolina Arts Council offers $10,000 grants to poets, prose writers and other artists to support the creative development of North Carolina writers and artists.


  WD Popular Fiction Awards have a November 1 deadline. This contest offers several different prizes, including a $2,500 grand prize and first prizes in five different popular fiction categories. Entry fee is $20.
