World Literature Today just opened their 2008 Puterbaugh class!
This is a wonderful opportunity to meet and learn from one of the greatest
poets of the twentieth century. The spring 2008 class will focus on the
poetry of Bei Dao, China's most well-known living poet.
The class will meet on:
Monday, March 10, 5:30-8:00 PM
Monday, March 25, 5:30-8:00 PM
Tuesday, April 1, 5:30-8:00 PM
Monday, April 7, 5:30-8:00 PM
Monday, April 14, 5:30-8:00 PM

The class will meet in room 230 of the Union (Traditions Room). Students are
also expected to attend the Puterbaugh Conference on April 3-4 (Thursday and
Friday), the WLT Book Club reading on Thursday afternoon, a reception on
Thursday evening, and the Puterbaugh banquet on Friday night.

The class counts for 3 hours of upper division level English or Modern
Languages credit (basically, elective credit) and is also open to graduate
students. To enroll in ENG 4970 or 5970, contact Grettie Bondy (325-2004,

Puterbaugh Student Fellowship Program

In conjunction with the 2008 Puterbaugh class, World Literature Today will
award a number of Puterbaugh Student Fellowships to deserving OU
undergraduate and graduate students.

Students Fellows will recieve the following:
1) A scholarship for 3 hours of credit.
2) A book allowance up to $70

Applications are due by January 21st. You can download the application at
