Since we are discussing my preferred bibulations:

the EU will not let anyone label a sparkling wine "champagne" unless it
comes from there. Nor cognac (Napoleon's brandy of choice). The Spanish,
who make good versions of each, had to change their brandy (conac with a
tilde) and champagne labels (to "methode champenoise").

America wouldn't cooperate, as USUAL. We bottle bilgewater and call it
champagne.
Father Perignon invented champagne, the Widow Clicquot improved the
method. "Cold Duck" comes from the German "Kalte Ende" or "cold end"
meaning the leftover liquors the waiters all threw together in a
punchbowl, but it sounds like "Kalte Ente" which means "cold duck."

Now if y'all want to do arcane words, what are te different sizes of
champagne bottles called?
And what is the indentation at the bottom of these bottles called?
