These are the details: 
THEMES: 
Race & Ethnicity, Gender & Race, Prison Industrial Complex and Women, Prison Industrial Complex and Men, GLBT & Civil Rights, Poverty & Race, Women & Poverty, Men & Poverty, Women & Abuse, Men & Abuse and Additional Themes That Explores a Community Occupying Various Spaces (i.e. ethnic identities, social backgrounds, sexuality, etc.)

CRITERIA:
Style. Language. Content. Originality. Social Commentary.

Literary Forms Permitted, Contestants Must Decide on [ 1 ] Form: 

POETRY | Must be 2 Poems

ESSAY | Intro & Thesis

ORATOR | 1 Speech [15 min max]

RESEARCH PAPER | Abstract [150-400 Word]

SHORT STORY | [3-4 Pages]

EXTENDED Submission Deadline: April 18th, 2013
PRIORITY Submission Dates: March 25th - April 12th
