Through live demonstrations and hands-on exercises, this 90-minute online class explores the use of MeSH in the cataloging environment.

This class will be taught by Sharon Willis, Senior Cataloging Specialist at the National Library of Medicine.

Objectives:
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
*         Describe the overall process of cataloging using MeSH.
*         Explain the principles of subject analysis.
*         Find information about specific terms and the MeSH hierarchy using the MeSH browser.
*         Properly structure MeSH in a bibliographic record.
*         Explore topics that require special consideration or exceptions for catalogers when using MeSH.
*         Request changes to the MeSH vocabulary.
