My opinion (should it be worth much) is that attending a CE is not the
same as attending the conference. The CE class fees pay for the cost of
putting on the class. The Conference fees pay for the cost of doing all
the other things we do...and if you attend any of that you have to
register for the day.

Subject: Fwd: Registration cost question

Good Friday afternoon to all:

I just received the following question:
If a coworker wants to attend one CE course on Saturday, does he need to
pay the CE course cost plus a one day registration fee or just the
course cost? Thanks for the clarification!

I've always assumed that you had to register for one day of the
conference if you wanted to take a CE. I can't find anything about it
in the LAC Procedure Manual, at least there's nothing in the CE section.

Tim, if this should go to the EC, please forward on.

Please advise ASAP as this would also impact potential promotion of the
CE courses to the University Libraries faculty and staff.

Thanks,
Nancy
