We have lost an esteemed scholar, whose passion, smile, and contagious sense of
humor will be missed by us his friends and colleagues.  What a pleasure it was
to have conversations with him about the comedia and baseball.  Those
conversations will continue to live in my memory.  My condolences to his
family.
