MASS MEDIA AND GLOBALIZATION
MAY 28-29, 2003
ATHENS, GREECE
The European Network of Greek Women Journalists (ENGWJ) and the Athens
Institute for Education and Research (AT.IN.E.R.) organize an
international conference on Mass Media and Globalization, May 28-29,
2003 in light of the Greek Presidency of EU in the first half of 2003.
The registration fee will be 50 Euro (it includes two lunches).
AT.IN.E.R. will provide free accommodation to a limited number of
speakers. Special arrangements will be made with local hotels for a
limited number of rooms at a special conference rate. In addition, a
number of special events will be organized: A Greek night of
entertainment and a special one-day cruise in the Greek islands.
The aim of the conference is to bring together scholars and students of
Mass Media and other related disciplines. Particular attention will be
given to submissions that emphasize the impact of European enlargement
and globalization on Mass Media and Women’s Issues in the Media.
Special session will be devoted to communication issues. Selected
papers will be published in a Special Volume of the Conference
Proceedings.
