Subject: XP Problem

like, is anything new here?

I need someone who knows XP like the back of their head. User's new
laptop has the '4' key assigned to a keyboard shortcut (!?) which is an
html help file for VectorNTI on their local HD (bizarre, I know).

I know it's this particular file 'cause I changed the default app for
this file to notepad and hitting the '4' key opened it in notepad. So i
tossed the file in the garbage. It couldn't find the file and prompted
me to delete the shortcut. Which I did. Lo and behold, the key does
nothing now!

Only info I can find on keyborad shortcuts apply to exe's not files.

This is specific to a user profile. Any ideas?
