OSCER users,


OU IT will hold a scheduled maintenance outage of the
Norman enterprise campus firewall system, next Wed (Dec 20)
6:00-10:00pm Central Time, in order to shift to new firewall
hardware.

We *DON'T* expect this outage to affect running batch jobs,
and it's low probability -- BUT NOT IMPOSSIBLE -- that logins
and other connections to OSCER resources might be affected.

Any such interruptions are likely to be intermittent and brief,
but might occur throughout that period, at random intervals.

OU IT has scheduled maintenance for the Norman Campus Firewall on Wednesday, December 20th from 6:00PM until 10:00PM.

  *   Firewall nodes are upgraded individually to minimize user impact; however, Norman Campus users may experience intermittent connectivity during this maintenance window to the following:
     *   Network traffic to and from services and applications in the Datacenter.
     *   Wired, wireless and telecom network services.
     *   Applications and services accessed via the internet.
  *   Though the actual downtime may be minimal, the entire window is reserved.
  *   OU IT technicians will restore service to the affected systems as quickly as possible.
