At the time, the club had a non-working Heathkit HW-101. The power supply
was bad, so I hauled it home to my Dad's shop (W5JHJ, SK in 2007). We found
a shot power transformer and a few other things that needed repair. He got
hold of a replacement power transformer and we fixed it. He wound up
donating the new transformer and his time, after appropriate grumbles,
since the club didn't have any money then, either.

I used it some after that, as did some other members. He thought the
transformer failed because someone didn't know how to tune a tube PA. So,
anyone that wanted to operate it had to show me they know how.
