Hello our media people,

several of us on the last steering committee have been pointing out that om
is currently merely limping from conference to conference. we will need at
least a little organizational infrastructure, a proper interactive site,
some basic governance structures, a system to set up ad-hoc working groups,
etc. this year's steering committee was supposed to see to this, but we did
not, as we also ended up organizing the conference.

We need two separate committees:
1. A selecting and organizing committee, consisting of a local and a
translocal group and several sub-groups such as fund-raising, website, etc.

2. A steering committee that takes the lead on setting up governance
structures, insitutional support structures, web-editorial teams,
translations systems, financing models, facilitates the discussion on OM
goals and directions, membership criteria, etc.
