My goodness, Janise, how your accomplishments grow. Those who have been in the OU English Education program also remember Janise's outstanding dissertation on teaching poetry. Janis is another reason why our OWP site is the envy of the NWP nation! Write On! Mike Angelotti

Congratulations to Janise McIntyre for being named a top twelve state finalist for Oklahoma Teacher of the Year!  Dr. McIntyre went through the OWP Summer Institute in 2002.  She teaches English and Reading for Pleasure at Elgin High School.  Some of you may also remember her from the writing marathon we had last spring at Medicine Park.

Janise, we are proud of you and hope that your affiliation with Oklahoma Writing Project helps you win the state title!
